Description
Wooden AERATING-BASE rests inside the Compost Bin creating a raised platform and air gap. They are ideal where the conditions are difficult, such as gravelled areas, and they provide a low shelf from which material can be easily forked or shovelled off. They create a 5cm air gap at the base which aids the composting process and helps prevents material staying wet and soggy at the base. There is also a variable gap (1cm-2cm approx.) between the boards which aids air intake.
